　　Applicants may be assessed for admission to Royal Roads University on the basis of their formal academic training and/or on the skills, knowledge and background developed outside traditional learning structures. This student-centred approach opens doors to higher learning for qualified candidates who otherwise might not meet traditional admission requirements, and thereby serves the needs of a diverse group of students.

　　Ideal candidates include self-directed and highly motivated people who demonstrate high levels of program-specific knowledge and skills and who possess strong interpersonal, research, and communication skills.

　　Standard Admission Process

　　Applicants have formal academic education that traditionally leads to the next level of education and relates to the desired program of study. Some programs may have specific pre-requisites and/or require related work experience in addition to the formal academic education background. 　　Flexible Admission Process

　　Applicants who do not have the formal academic education required for standard admission may be assessed on the basis of their formal education, informal learning, and work/life experience in accordance with the Flexible Admission Policy at Royal Roads University. The minimum requirements vary from one program to another with some having specific pre-requisites. 　　How to Apply

　　All Standard Admission and Flexible Admission applicants follow the same application process. The online application form is filled out and the application fee is paid, followed by submission of the appropriate supporting documents. Follow this link to begin the application process. 　　Royal Roads University reserves the right to cancel, delay or revise program and/or course intake dates at its sole discretion. Applicants should note that such cancellations only occur based upon unexpectedly low enrolment levels or unforeseen circumstances and will supersede any pre-existing offers of acceptance of students into that program, course or intake.
