This illustration depicts a dishonest man, with stealing ideas and using these ideas as his own. The most striking feature that impresses me deeply is that he obtains a large sum of money from plagiarism. Recently it has not only become common for people in many walks of life to profit what they want but also aroused great concern and should be given great consideration.  The symbolic meaning of the picture subtly conveyed should be given deep consideration. Undoubtedly, the purpose of the picture is to show us that due attention has paid to action of plagiarism. As a matter of fact, this process of plagiarism is not crime at the beginning, which the action is increasingly common in today’s world. Owing to advantage, we can see everything that one writer look for information on a certain topic and does not cite his work properly. If we let continue as it is, we will go into the trouble that the original author is forgotten, and credit is not placed where it is due.  From what has been discussed above, it is, therefore, necessary that some effective measures are taken to prevent plagiarism. For one thing, the authorities have pledged to legislate to punish the people who steal other’s ideas. For another, since the phenomenon has many negative effects, we should enhance the awareness of people that we should respect other’s brainchild. If we need to use other’s ideas, we must cite it properly. Only by making concerted effects, can we avert this phenomenon.
